A year of hair

Taking this route because otherwise my blog entry will be about me being overwhelmed, or trying to function with massive brain fog, and how today was the roughest day so far. In order to avoid all of that...here are photos of my hair from the past year or so.
I loved that red...I was never able to re-create it though

Okay, so do you do this yourself? Is it permanent color or the kind that washes out? I really love the last one, and the blue.

What I want to know is... as often as you change your color, how do you keep your hair so healthy and shiny?

Sorry you had such a rough day. :(

i am eagerly anticipating your answer. hahaa. i've been wanting to dye my hair the punky hair colors (the red you did and pink) but i am terrified of bleaching it.

The colors are over bleach...powder bleach with a 40 developer. I only leave it on long enough to turn my hair orange...the brown hair photo is my natural color.

How do I keep it healthy? I condition ALL.the. time. I think I also might just have hair that can take a beating. I deep condition a few times a week and leave conditioner on for a few minutes everyday. I also use Aveda styling products...and get a hair cut every 6 weeks.

so that works over orange? i recently bleached highlights in my own hair. left the bleach in long enough to turn some parts yellowish and other parts orange, then toned it to a caramel/blonde color throughout. but it's not all over. if i put something like punky color (is that what you use?) over top all of my hair do you think it would turn the highlights those colors?

i still can't believe you didn't have to bleach your hair to white-ish to get that vibrancy. i LOVE that color in the red (your current profile pic). that's the one i want to try, although i've also wanted to do pink. but yeah, bleach freaks me out ... so you did that without bleaching it completely out??

please advise. haha.
